Most City facilities closed Nov. 27-28 for Thanksgiving holiday

AUBURN, Ala.- Most City facilities will be closed Thursday and Friday, Nov. 27 and 28, during the Thanksgiving holiday.

Downtown parking will be free Nov. 24-28 during Auburn University's Thanksgiving break with the exception of the Wright Street Parking Deck.

Garbage, trash and recycling pickup routes for Thursday, Nov. 27, will run on Friday, Nov. 28.

Public Safety services, including police and fire, will remain on their regular schedules.

The Auburn Public Library will close at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 26, and will remain closed on Thursday and Friday, Nov. 27 and 28. Book drops will remain open, and the online collection is always available.

Most Auburn Parks and Recreation facilities will close at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 26, and will be closed Thursday and Friday, Nov. 27 and 28. The Jan Dempsey Community Arts Center will be open till 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 26. The Yarbrough Tennis Center's schedule will be as follows:

  • Wednesday, Nov. 26: 8:30 a.m.-2 p.m.
  • Thursday, Nov. 27: Closed
  • Friday, Nov. 28: 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m.

All parks, playgrounds and cemeteries will be open sunrise to sundown.
